Born 17th May, 1896 at Wallsend,NSW.

Occupation Wheeler in the Coalmines, Abermain,NSW.

Enlisted in to the AIF on the 21st December, 1915 at West Maitland, NSW.

35th Battalion, B Coy. Rank Private. Service/Regimental Number 375.

Age 19 years, 7 months.

AWL 24th April,1915. Fined 15/. B.Meadow Camp

Embarked from Sydney on the ship A24 "Benalla" on the 1st May, 1916.

Disembarked Plymouth on the 9th July, 1916.

AWL Midnight 20th October, 1916 till 10 ? 22nd October, 1916, England. Total fine 10 days without pay?

Proceeded overseas from Southampton on the 21st November,1916 to France.

Transferred to England on the 29th September, 1917.

Embarked the H J Port Lyttletor on the 19th October, 1917.

Returning to Australia for discharge for family reasons.

Discharged 30th December,1917.
